The entire music selection hit every age so the dance floor was completely filled with happy dancing people the entire night. It brought everyone together. Seamless introductions and very cool lighting completed the top notch DJ services provided. It absolutely made my daughter's wedding a memory for the ages!

We had DJ Kamau for our wedding of over 90 people. He was excellent, friendly, and very professional! We provided him with a long playlist and he played all of the songs (and a few more) on our playlist. Given everything one has to worry about when planning a wedding, Kamau's performance is not one of them! His price was right and made our wedding smooth as butter!

First of all, I was attracted to Kamau's credentials. He had a plethora of experience that you can look up on his website and he used to work at one of my favorite radio station's, 92Q! I finally got to meet him in person which he accommodated to meet halfway to get to know each and other discuss some logistics. He also had a great voice that was fun, enthusiastic, and charismatic. As you can imagine, any wedding is super stressful and busy, but Kamau was very flexible and patient to make any adjustments to time to talk or meet or any changes to our logistics.

The day of the wedding he arrived early to set up. He greeted me and made sure I was feeling good for the big day and made me confident and reassured me he was ready to make this day even better.
One of the best parts during the night was that he was able to very quickly invite the guests to the floor and immediately start dancing. All of my guest stated they had so much fun!
I would recommend Kamau because he has done many weddings so he can give you plenty advice and can improvise at any moment.

We were very pleased with New Era and DJ Kamau for our wedding this August 2016 in Baltimore MD. Kamau was very responsive and professional during the planning process and offered great tips and insight during the venue walk through. Kamau provided sound system services in three different spaces in the venue and connected them seamlessly throughout the evening. During the dinner reception which occurred in a large atrium, there were sound/volume issues with both the music and during the speech portion. This was the only detraction from what was otherwise stellar service and production. We would recommend New Era Enterprises for any event!

He can accomodate any setting..fabulous background dinner music to dancing at any age! This is not the first time we have used Kamau and it will not be last. DJ Kamau was the DJ for the Junior Prom and the kids were very happy with him and the music. I didn't have any complaints. We are planning on booking him next year for senior prom:-)

This past Saturday, November 1st, we had our first ever High Hopes for Haiti 5k. And though the weather was cold and wet, it was a huge success thanks to your generous support as a Sponsor and our Dj.

We had over 150 people registered for our first year race and another 40 volunteers to help out on race day. The whole event was a great example of the Haitian proverb that says " Many hands make the load lighter, " as walkers, runners, volunteers, and donors worked to make sure that the event was enjoyable by all and beneficial to the cause.

The race wouldn't have been such a success without your generous support to help make this event fruitful in raising both awareness for the poorest of the poor in Haiti and funding to support the schools and students there.

We are sincerely grateful for your dedication and not to mention the awesome music that you provided for us for this brand new event. We look forward to future years of growth with the next High Hopes for Haiti 5K.

outstanding would be an understatement in describing the talents of Kamau McCray. It was almost a year ago to this day that i got married, and Kamau made the reception all that we wanted and more. Our ceremony was originally scheduled to be an outdoor event, but inclement weather caused a last minute change of venue. Kamau, was not in any way affected by this, quickly moving his setup, and having everything in order at the start of our ceremony. As the ceremony concluded, and the cocktail hour/reception began, Kamau and his selection of music kept things flowing. At the reception, Kamau kept everything on schedule. Following dinner, he kept the dance floor packed. Our guests ranged from 25-75, from all backgrounds, and literally every person that attended was inspired to come to the dance floor at some point. I have been to many weddings, and Kamau was the best i have beared witness to. Leading up to the ceremony, he met with us, provided us with a comprehensive schedule, and met all of our special requests. I tell everyone, whether it is a wedding, a graduation, birthday, or just an all around good time, Kamau & New Era Enterprises should be the first person you call to handle your entertainment needs.

I booked DJ Kamau last weekend for my sister's 40th birthday party at the admiral's cup in fells point M.D. We talked threw email so I could give him a heads up on the type crowd he was going to be preforming for. I also put together (per his advice) a song list of things he should definitely play. DJ Kamau was great, from his MC skills, Music selection and his Professionalism. DJ Kamau did a fantastic job at the homecoming dance for the school I teach at. I was ecstatic that DJ Kamau had all radio edits and upon request when he didn't have a song with radio edits he let the crowd and continued on. DJ Kamau also played songs for some of our Caribbean students and they really enjoyed that touch. All in all DJ Kamau gets my kudos and recommendation!

With less than a month away from our wedding day, DJ Kamau came through when our our original DJ (from another company) went "ghost" on us. DJ Kamau took time one evening to speak with us about the details of our wedding and reception. On the day of, DJ Kamau did not disappoint, playing all of the requested and desired tunes for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and especially during the reception! He wasted no time playing requested tunes from us and our guests, while still adhering to our requests that certain songs and/or music not be played. DJ Kamau was personable and entertaining throughout the reception.

His communication and response time with our wedding coordinator and with us was always prompt and professional. His fee was reasonable. Without a doubt, we would recommend DJ Kamau for any event!
